Have each person coming to the party bring a children’s book off their bookshelf at home. Then as a party game you can have a book exchange. This will send each party guest home with a “new” book to add to their bookshelf. It can replace the goody bag too.

It has a great message about teaching children that there’s more to the spirit of Christmas than the hustle and bustle of gifts. Run to the library or store and pick up a copy. You’ll find it a great read that will help get your family in the loving spirit of Christmas.
