Valentine Pencils
Here’s another great find from Family Fun . If you want to send a Valentine that’s not sweet this is a fun way to go. And as I mentioned before, I love to send pencils as classroom gifts. I know that after the candy and sweets are gone, the pencils get used.
Here’s the list of supplies:
- Scissors
- Craft Foam
- Markers
- Pipe Cleaners
- Pencils
Using the craft foam, cut out a heart that’s about 1-2 inches. Write a simple message on the front and your child’s name on the back.
Poke about an inch of the pipe cleaner through the bottom of the heart. Then bend it down and twist it back around the remaining length of pipe cleaner.
Wrap the pipe cleaner around the pencil. You’ll want to pull it pretty snug as you wrap. Next gently pull up on the heart so that part of the coil bobs freely above the pencil, with several loops anchored around the eraser end.
There you go. A very cute Valentine!
