Raising A Family

For New Year’s eve we had our own little family party here at the house. Part of our evening involved setting some family goals that included everyone. We kept it simple and only came up with 12. We had some fun with it and even set a goal for the baby. His is to learn to walk this year! After we had our little celebration and put the kids to bed, I sat down to type up our list of goals.

I belong to an online digital scrapbook program, so making our little poster was easy. I typed out our resolutions and added a fun title, some pictures and some embellishments. Within an hour I had ordered it to be printed. It should arrive in a week or so and then I’ll pick up a frame to put it in. We will hang it somewhere in the home where we can all look at it daily.

By displaying your resolutions you are acknowledging them on a daily basis. This helps you to stay motivated to complete your goals and to keep up the work on them frequently. You can put them wherever works for you. My husband and I have our own personal and couple ones that we will hang in our bathroom. This way those that are a little more personal will stay out of view of the kids or any visitors. Making a poster makes it fun for the kids as well. They will be more excited to work on their goals if they are reminded by them with a fun display.
