Phase 10
My first roommate in college introduced the card game Phase 10, by Fundex, to me some 13 years ago and I’ve been addicted since. In fact, my husband and I drove all over Tucson yesterday, while in town for Thanksgiving with my grandparents, looking for a store that was not only open but that carried these cards. I had left ours at home, and a holiday is just not a holiday without playing this game. I got my husband hooked on it when we were first married and broke. We played it all the time instead of going out. I have to admit, we still play it a ton!
It’s a Rummy-type card game with a different twist. The cards have numbers on them and the basic objective it to come up with different sets of these numbers in 10 different phases. The directions are simple and easy to understand. It’s a great gift for the holidays at about $5. It’s also a fun game to play with a group of people. Buy a pack and give it a try!
