Toddlers:Taming the Tantrums in Public

One of the most embarrassing things for me to deal with is a screaming toddler in a public place. An effective way to handle this kind of situation is by using redirection. In most cases, if you can redirect their attention to something else you’ll be successful in stopping the fit.

If you’re heading out, throw something new or interesting in your purse or diaper bag. This can be as simple as a small bottle of bubbles, stickers, or even a snack.

Just as your child starts to get upset pull out the item. In most cases they will stop crying and want to participate.

  1. Child Behavior Modification is so tough. There are moments that yelling at them is not enough. Tantrums in toddlers start when they want something which they cannot get or even when you do what they don’t want to.

The best way to deal with toddlers tantrums is to create the best activities that are fun and educational. You have to remember that at this is the stage, child adopts all things that happen around him. This is also the best time to allow your child into different activities.
